Nachos are a staple of any Mexican restaurant and a real crowd-pleaser for any social gathering. There are so many ways to prepare them that there is literally something for everyone and every taste. We picked some of our favorite combinations to share with you here, but feel free to mix and match to create your own go-to recipe.
1) Chorizo, Bean, and Cheese Nachos
Emeril Lagasse has a fabulous recipe for chorizo, bean and cheese nachos found via Food Network. It’s big on flavor and the chorizo adds just the right amount of kick that you would expect from a recipe out of “New New Orleans Cooking.”
2) BBQ Nachos
For an American take on nachos, check out this recipe for pulled pork nachos from Steph’s Bite By Bite. All you need are some tortilla chips, pulled pork, BBQ sauce, beans and cheese.
3) Loaded Nachos
Ree Drummand over at The Pioneer Woman has really nailed the classic nacho recipe. Ground beef and her own taco seasoning with lots of fresh veggies and cheese make this nacho recipe perfect for a quick and healthy meal at home.
The instructions are really easy to follow, and she has photos for most all of the steps.
4) Loaded Chicken Nachos
When you need some gooey and flavorful chicken nachos, look no further than this delicious crock-pot recipe (great for all you pennypinchers out there). Tiffany over at A Thrifty Mom has laid out the recipe for her shredded chicken, but left the toppings up to you. Beware; it does take 3-4 hours to cook the chicken, but it’s totally worth it.
5) Easy Steak Nachos with Two Cheeses
Sometimes you want your nachos a bit more gourmet, and this recipe from Amazing Appetizer Recipes delivers. The fresh green onion and tomato make the dish look extra appealing as an appetizer for any potluck or party.
6) Southwest Veggie Nachos
For all our vegetarian readers, Epicurious has a delicious veggie nacho recipe that’s pretty healthy to boot!
7) The Best Queso Cheese Sauce
While not technically a recipe for nachos, this queso recipe from Foodsweet makes for a great addition to any nacho recipe. The jalapenos, chipotle chiles, and smoked cheddar cheese make this queso absolutely heavenly.
Any of these recipes would make a great appetizer or finger food for a party, or a meal at home. If you don’t feel like making your own we have our own creative take on nachos here at Casa Blanca. Come visit us at one of our locations in Andover, North Andover, and North Billerica, Massachusetts. We’d love to have you!
